After furious head scratching, dannoc asked:

Thanks to Milly for the reply! but.....
Is there any way around this? We need some way to find out how many meetings
we have had with clients so we can bill them. It's very time consuming to
have to go through every single day to pick out all the meetings we have had.
Thanks,
Dannoc

No, there is no way around this. However, what you are describing is what
the Journal is used for. Also, check the Activities tab on the contact
items.
