Changing a repeating event

I have just moved over to Outlook and PPC after using a Palm. Overall I
like Outlook more, but there is something I could do with the Palm Date
Book that Outlook doesn't seem to be able to do. In the Palm datebook,
you could alter a repeating event and make the change effective for
that and all future events. Outlook only seems to let you change either
that event only or all events.

I am a school teacher with a two-week timetable, so I have all my
lessons as events which repeat every two weeks. This is fine until we
have a holiday and I need to move all the appointments ahead by a week.
Does anyone know a way of doing this in Outlook, or will I have to
enter all the information again- which would be a step back from my old
Palm device.

I had a quick look at the WS:Repeat Appointment plug-in, but I'm not
sure this will help me.

Can you drag the item from the calendar to the new date in Date Navigator?

Thanks for your response, but I am not sure what you mean. I didn't
mention which version I am using- Outlook 2002.

I tried dragging a repeating event from the week view to the next week
on the calendar page, but it said "You changed the date of this
occurrence of "xxx". If you want to change the date of all occurrences,
you must open the first event in the series. Do you want to change only
this occurrence?"

I want to change the occurrence from that date forward. Is this
possible. I'm really surprised that this is so awkward- am I missing
something?

Hi, I am really wondering whether anyone has made headway on this.  I have
had the same issue.  I schedule people for weekly visits.  Then they may
stop.  So I only want to delete the FUTURE ones and leave the past ones for
documentation.  Am I missing something or is this not possible?
