Known Outlook 2000 problem. No fix. See
http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/olpubcal.htm for alternative web calendar
solutions.

Sue,

Can't Microsoft do better than "no fix"?

Our church depends on Outlook to publish calendars for the weekly bulletin,
monthly newsletter and web calendar.  The "slipstick" solution only addresses
the bug in Outlook and would require a lot of changes all around.  We can't
justify spending $300 for an Office upgrade just to work around this error.

Is "no fix" the definitive answer from Microsoft or is it possible that
there's a simple fix in the works.  Sounds a little irresponsible to me.

Thanks

The definitive answer from Microsoft is the one in their KB article on the
subject, which merely acknowledges the problem.

The fact is that Outlook 2000 is past its (long-publicized) basic support
period and into the period when only security fixes can be expected.

The VBS file only works for outlook 2000. Possible workaround for the date
problem.
Use Monday as the first day of the week and publ. calendar,
then writeprotect the file monthhd.htm, then change the settings in outlook
to sunday as the first day of the week and publish the calendar again.

Wouldn't it be better to use something like the Word calendar templates for
Outlook to generate the information correctly in the first place?

Also, one possible workaround is to manually edit the monthhd.htm file and
change the order of the days so that they correspond to the correct dates. I
keep a copy of the edited file and when I update or create a new web
calendar I just replace the new monthhd.htm file with the modified one. My
web calendars now start with Monday instead of Sunday but that's OK for me.
