Is your Date Navigator showing (the mini calendars on the right)?  If so,
drag the bottom border of the Date Navigator upward and your TaskPad should
reappear.  If neither is showing, drag the right border of the calendar to
the left.

Thank you so much for your response to my outlook question.  However, the
problem is still there.  I was trying to delete tasks in my task list and
couldn't figure out how so right clicked and chose 'delete this object'
(like an idiot.)  so now my task list is gone and I need it back.  My mini
calendars are there above where the task list should be and I tried to drag
the Date Navigator bottom border up but it won't go and i tried to drag the
right border of the calendar left but that doesn't bring anything back. any
ideas?

I'm baffled -- I don't get any options for "Delete Object" when I right
click anywhere in the TaskPad.  You might want to try running a Detect and
Repair on your Office installation and see if that brings the TaskPad back.
You can run Detect and Repair from the Help menu of any installed Office
program.  Make sure you have your Office CD handy.

Sorry i was calling it the wrong command.  if you right click on the gray box
at the top of the task pad or notes pad there's an option 'remove this
column.'  that's what i foolishly chose and now my task pad and notes pad are
gone.  i can't tell what's left because it won't maximize.  ideas? (thanks
for all your help thus far.)

Have you tried changing TaskPad views under View | TaskPad View?  It's a
long shot but maybe it will help.  If not, I think you will have to try the
Detect and Repair.
