I had been using Outlook Express with Windows 2000 Professional.  When
installing Outlook, I chose the option to transfer the contacts.  However,
they're not in either Express or Outlook after completing this operation.  If
I uninstall Outlook they are.  What can I do to transfer them?  (I am unable
to export them as a .csv file).

Explain more fully what you did. Include your Outlook version and mail
support mode.
The only way what you describe is even remotely possible is if you were
using Outlook 2000 in IMO mode and had enabled sharing with OE's address
book. See if that is the case.
