I have doubles of everybody's information when attempting to generate "new"
letter.  Earlier today downloaded slipstick scrubber, either the directions
are too vague or my machine is just not cooperating.  Any other way to deal
with this?

In case it makes a difference, I have outlook 2003, windows xp and
intellisync.  Have tried deleting local address book and restoring by using
intellisync, apparently that just doubles the contacts information.

Verify that these are true duplicates. Don't forget that the Outlook Address
Book lists each electronic address for a Contact separately, so many
Contacts will appear 2 or more times.

It appeared that each contact had "e-mail 1" and "e-mail 2" I went in and
edited each contact.  For the moment I'm not even upset that "e-mail display
as" field keeps reverting to actual full text of e-mail contact address.
Just glad not having repeats of Joe@whatever.com when sending a note.

I found the problem by viewing "detailed address cards".  Somehow everybody's
e-mail addresses got duplicated (I believe during intellisync).  Is there any
way to avoid this or magically delete the extras without too much work on my
part?

Try viewing Phone List view so you can see all the fields in a table and
have a clear understanding of what data is in your database for each Contact
record.

Use the Field Chooser to show whichever fields you are having problems with.
