I am using Outlook 2000 SP3.  I have deleted a 'contacts" folder from my
system.  However, when I use the Address Book, the Contact folder is still
displayed.  If I try to select it, it tells me that it can't find it.  "Help"
just tells me to delete the folder, but the folder is already gone.  I need
to get the reference to it out of the Address Book.  Any ideas??

Go to the Tools menu > Services > Highlight the Outlook Address Book service
> Click Properties >
Can't you delete the invalid reference from there?

I hadn't tried that.  I was able to delete the folder from the Services list,
however, when I go to the address book and select "Show names from the:" the
bogis contact folder still shows up.  I closed out of outlook and reopened
with no change.

The procedure works if done correctly.
Did you remove the correct folder?
Check again after another restart.
