Is there any need for the Personal Address Book (.pab) in Outlook 2003?  I
have one associated with my email account (it's empty).  Should I just remove
Personal Address Book from my account and maybe even delete the .pab file.
It's not clear to me what purpose it serves.  Wouldn't everything just be
entered in Contacts?  Thanks.

There is no need for a PAB. It was replaced by the Outlook Address Book and
Contacts Folders years ago. Feel free to remove it from your profile.
