Contacts not where supposed to be???

I am using win xp & OL2003.

When I click on the send button to send an email & then click on the little
TO icon (which is supposed to bring up my contacts) there are no contacts in
there (and there supposed to be because when I go to Contacts normally, they
are all there).

I then also get this message..."The address list could not be displayed. The
Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it
may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions."

Anybody have any suggestions???

Thanks,
aWebParson

You first.
State what you did.
State what PST file you are using.
The Contacts Folder could not simply disappear if you were using the right
PST file.

Did you close and restart Outlook?  Check in the Task Manager to ensure that
Outlook has completely exited.

After furious head scratching, John J asked:
