Outlook contact list to be available in address book and emails

I have over 800 contacts in my Outlook 2003 contacts. However, when I compose
an e-mail and click the "To..." button I get an error saying:  "The address
list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated with this address
list could not be opened; ..." How do I fix this?

Also under Progrrams -> Accessories there is a program called "Address Book"
and under the Start menu there is a function to Search the address book.
However, both of these programs do not see the contacts in my Outlook. How
can I fix this?

BTW, I am using Win XP Professional

The Address Book in the Start menu is the Windows Address Book. It has
nothing to do with Outlook.
You simply need to configure the Outlook Address Book:
