I've read all these posts and don't find my particular problem. I'll be
succinct. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

1. I was using Outlook 2002 on my laptop (my business machine). I had many
contacts stored there in the standard Contacts folder.

2. Outlook 2002 is also installed on my desktop computer (my personal
machine) but I never used the program there.

3. One dark and stormy night, the hard drive on my laptop got sick. Before
it died completely, I was able to move the Contacts info from my laptop to my
desktop machine using the "import/export as a .pst" feature.

4. For some reason, the Contacts are imported into my desktip computer as a
SECOND contacts folder named "Contacts1". They are not imported directly into
the primary Contacts folder. That means there's no auto-complete when sending
email, and any new addresses that I get from incoming emails are stored in
Contacts ~ essentially, creating two separate Contacts databases.

5. As a short-term solution, it was not much of a problem. I used my desktop
machine for business for a few weeks until the new laptop hard drive was
installed.

5. The laptop is now up and running.

6. Now I want to take the Contacts BACK from the desktop computer and make
them the PRIMARY Contacts on my laptop again ~ not have two separate Contacts.

7. I tried import/export again, but as happened the first time around, the
Contacts are brought in as a separate folder (again defaulted to
"Contacts1").

8. I just want one Contacts folder. How do I take the data in Contacts1 and
dump it into the primary/default Contacts folder on my laptop?

Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

One more piece of data ~ I have a wireless network between the laptop and the
desktop computer.

I doubt you've read all the posts here. The suggestion is the same one we
post here every day. Do not use import and export to transfer Outlook data.
You'll just create messes like this one by importing incorrectly. Just copy
the PST file and either open it in another installation to transfer data
(copy/paste), or configure the other installation to reuse that PST as its
default.
