I have 5 contact folders I am attemting to import from my old laptop.
(outlook 2000 on that one) The new one is 2003.

The "Contacts" folder works...one other subfolder works...but the other 3
don't.
They show up fine in the contacts area, but in an email, when I hit the "To"
button to ad either the folders are not a choice in the dropdown, or the
folder appears to be empty. Any ideas?

ALso, in the "To" button, contacts are arranged by first name. Can these be
changed to last name? I can't find anyone!

Thanks,

Have you enabled said subfolders as email address book in their properties?

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
