Moving Contacts into Business manager

Hello,

I recently upgraded to OL 2003 w/ Business Contact Manager.

I moved selected contacts into BC Mgr. by drag & drop.  It seemed to work
fine.

Then when I went to open a contact, I get an error message that says; "The
custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead.
The form required to view this message cannot be displayed.  Contact your
administrator."  When I click "OK", I get another error message that says,
"Array index out of bounds".  I click "OK" and it then gives me the contact
which looks normal.

When I initially started to choose which contacts should go into Business
Manager, I could not find anthing in help that told me how to move them.  I
tried highlighting, dragging & dropping, only because I could not find other
instructions.

Any ideas here?  Thank you....Mindy

BCM sometimes has what's known as a "forms cache" problem. Clearing the
cache usually fixes it. Choose Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options |
Custom Forms, then click Manage Forms, then Clear Cache. If simply clearing
the cache doesn't fix the issue, try the other steps detailed at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;836558

The bulk of the forms cache issues in Outlook 2003 are fixed in Service Pack
1, so you should also install Office 2003 Service Pack 1 as well as BCM SP1.

Sue,
Thank you for your response.  I had high hopes.  I've now done all that but
the problem is still there.  That would include downloading & installing the
two updates and performing all of the Resolutions on the help page you
suggested.  The only thing I did not do was the last suggestion on the
Resolution page about creating a new user profile.  There were directions
that did not correspond to what I was presented with on the screen
(specifically "Switch to Classic View).

I rebooted every time and the symptoms never changed.  This has my business
set-up dead-in-the-water. In case it matters, I am running MS XP Home

Now what?

Did you ever clear the forms cache, though? That's the main source of the
symptoms you describe.

Yes...several times.  At least I clicked that choice. I have no idea if it
"took".  What is left to try?

BTW...I'm checking the "Notify Me Of Replies" box but am not receiving
notifying emails.

Thank you for your time...

In the Forms folder where you find Frmcache.dat, try also deleting all the
subfolders.

You could also try a new mail profile, as the KB article describes, but I
doubt that will help.
