How do I set Outlook Contacts phone numbers as Business, Business Fax,
Mobile, then Home as default? I use my contacts for work and constantly have
to tab over the unnecessary home number section. Any hints?

It is not clear what view you are using and I don't understand what you mean
by "tab over the unnecessary home number section."   If your focus is phone
numbers the easiest thing might be to start in Contacts and change the view
to Phone List.  You can customize this view by selecting the fields you want,
such as Business numbers first.  Then you can rearrange the columns as you
like.  You will probably want to sort by Name, probably File As.  This view
works best if you keep the number of columns down so that all numbers for the
Contact can be seen on the  screen without scrolling for stuff that is
off-screen.  Remember that if you want  to look up more detailed  information
for the person, you just double click and the Contact's Address Card will
open.

I'm in the Address Card view; the second phone slot is Home and that's the
one I'd like to change to Bus Fax. Is there any way of reordering phone
numbers in the Address Card? (I now have to select Business Fax from the
pulldown menu where Home is, etc. too time consuming when you're entering
multiple contacts)

You can change the order in which the various fields appear in the Address
Card view (not the same as opening an individual contact).  In OL go to
Contacts and amke sure you are in the Address Card View.  Then go to, View,
Current View  and Customise Current View.  Click on Fields and you can see
Available Fields on the left and Display Fields in This Order (orsomething
like that) on the right.  Add  any fields you want and remove anyj unwanted
ones.  They are arranged in the order in which they will be displayed in the
Address Card view.  To change the order of any item, click on it and then
Move Up or Move Down.   Once you are satisfied with the order OK your way
out.  Chek what you now have and change it again if it is not quite what you
want.  Remember that blank fields are not going to display in this view.
See if this helps.
