The contacts that are in my mail address book automatically are added to my
contacts in Outlook so that all I have on that contact is the email address.
I want to stop those names from going to the contacts. How do I stop that?

Explain what you mean. There is no address book in Outlook. The Outlook
Address Book contains no data and is only a view which displays the
electronic addresses contained in your Contacts Folders. So there is no such
thing as data that resides in your Outlook Address Book but not your
Contacts Folder.
Maybe you are using some other program.
