transfer outlook folders e.g contacts address archive e-mails to .

i recently suffered a fatal motherboard and hard drive failure which
involved completely reformatting my hard drives. i regularly back up my
system but have never been able to back up my outlook folders. i have never
needed to before. now i find that i have to type in all those names addresses
cntacts and of course i have lost an awful amount of  e-mail correspondance
and since i have got back on line i have been trying to work out some method
whereby i can file all this information elsewhere to allow me to back - up
without have to fill in those countless windows for each contact. HELP

The file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
