My address book has multiple entries for each person.  It has a listing for
each email address and for each fax number.  This occured when I updated from
Office 2000 to Office XP.

I had the same problem. Delete Microsoft Active Sync from all your computers
and install the latest download (free) of Active Synch from Microsoft website
and re install. In the mean time you will have to manually delete all the
duplicates.
