Does anyone use the journal feature in outlook to jot notes down on a
contact?  I have used this feature and at some point I believe an archive
has either deleted or hidden older notes in my journals.  Any ideas as to if
journal notes dissappear after a certain point or if the archiving feature
in outlook does something to old journal entries?  Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Archiving will operate on your Journal, especially if you have the default
archive settings applied to it.  Right click on the Journal folder and
select Properties, have a look at the Autoarchive settings and that should
tell you whether it is being archived.  You can find the location of your
archive file under Tools>Options.  Click on the Other tab and click the
Autoarchive button to see the settings.
