I have a user who has over 1000 contacts in his Contacts list and all of
them have business and home addresses. Recently he has noticed that the home
addresses for his contacts are all missing. The user uses Outlook 2003. A
contact which was entered a couple of days ago does still contain all the
home address information though.

Any thoughts on what could have happened and how to retreive the street
addresses?

Never seen data just disappear all by itself. It's not a known feature of
Outlook.
Does he back up his data?

Yes, the user does back up their contacts. We have an Exchange server here
in the office but I do not know how far back the backups go.

I spoke to the user's assistant and she said that this all happened after
the user set up a Blackberry to sync with his Outlook and Contacts. They
selected all his contact information to sync, including business and home
addresses. Another odd change is that the remaining addresses now have two
zip codes.

Does this shed any more light on what may have happened?

Not a lot, but I've certainly seen synchronization programs lose and alter
data. I'd restore from backup.
