I am having a ton of problems with my Outlook birthdays. For some
reason, when I click on the embedded object, I get an error that the
item can no longer be found.

"This error is usually associated with a recent upgrade from Microsoft
Outlook Internet Mail Only (IMO) to Outlook.  The usual symptom is the
Birthday or Anniversary link in a contact item is no longer available.
There is no method of recovering the lost data.  You must re-enter the
information."

I have had to go through and delete the embedded object in each of my
contacts.

How can I get the calendar item recreated?

Is there a rebuild option available?

Also, I keep an offline copy of my contact list that I use to
synchronize with my mobile phone so I do not corrupt my main data with
the changes necessary for my phone's program (Float's Mobile Agent). Is
there a way I can prevent the offline birthday data from being added to
my main calendar? I do not want duplicate items.

Thanks very much.
