How do I temporarily remove an email address from a distribution .

I have a distribution list in my contacts folder and would like to remove one
of the addresses to send one message - if I remove the address, it is removed
permanently - but I want the address back in the group for when I next need
to send to them all. Can I do this on a one-off occasion?
