Seemingly, for an unknown reason to me, the function doesn't work with all of my contacts. I have several contacts folders and they are all set on 'show this folder as an email address book' in right-click> properties on the folder itself. XP Pro with SP2 and Outlook 2003. Anyone? I don't understand your question. Autocomplete has nothing to do with your Contacts. You did not explain what isn't working that you think should. Autocomplete uses a cache of names created from messages you have sent, not your Contacts. I know now it refers to something precise and different. You are right. But this is what I meant- I know Outlook can complete the 'To' field when you type in the name of your recipient, it looks for the corresponding email address in contacts books and completes automatically the field.
