Sounds like you didn't actually use the Forward as vCard command, which
means you didn't send vCards, you sent actual contact items. That only works
if you send an RTF format message and mark the recipient's address for RTF.

There's nothing to set up. How the cards are sent depends on what method you
use. To send as an actual vCard .vcf file, you need to use the Actions |
Forward as vCard command.
