Then you are not opening the correct file. If this is the file to which
you exported and Outlook did not complete the export successfully, then
I would expect that file to have no Contacts. Wouldn't you?
There is never any need to export Outlook data for use in another
installation. You should have just copied the original PST file and
opened that. Hopefully, you still can.

OK, I got to my contact. I found it in a different personal folder and
moved under the contacts in the first personal folder. Now under "My
Contacts", I have
Contacts
Contacts1 (I had to rename it)
I made the necessary option changes so that email checks contact1 for
adresses. However, when I get a new email from a new contact and I right
click on the adress and choose the option to Add to the contact list, instead
of saving it to the Contacts1, it saves it to the Contact. I then move it to
the Contacts1 but when I am sending an email, I click on the adrs book icon
on the TO: line, the contact isn't there even though it is there when I look
in contacts1 alone.
Can you tell me how to just get a Contacts folder or get all the contacts
from Contacts1 to Contacts.. Or, how do I get that contact to be seen by
email?
Confused here;

Your mistake was that you tried to copy the Folder. What you needed to
do was copy the Folder's contents to your default Contacts Folder. Do so
now. Then delete Contacts1.

You mean like highlight, copy, and paste.
Thanks for your help.

Or Select All > Copy to Folder... or Move to Folder...

But, that contact I added by highlighting the email address in the email sent
to me, and then right clicking and choosing add to contacts. It does appear
when looking at Contacts but when sending an email and trying to lookup the
address in the TO: line, it is not there.

Which means that the Contacts Folder to which you added that Contact is
not the one you are displaying in the Outlook Address Book. Examine your
configuration.
