Is office 2003 SP1 compatible with Salesforce?

We support several hundred users and many use Salesforce. We want to deploy
Office 2003 SP2 but have heard that this will disable the Salesforce plug-in
that integrates with Outlook, Excel and Word. Does anyone have any
information rgarding this?

Have you talked to the Salesforce people?  Outlook has nothing to do with
how their software works.
