i want to transfer my list of microsoft outlook contacts onto my laptop from
my pc. what is the proceedure?

Copy the .pst file. Move it to your other computer. Use Outlook's
File->Open to access the items in the old .pst. Drag and drop the contacts
from the old to the new .pst.
