Using Outlook 2000 SP-3, I created a Contacts subfolder 'test'.  When sending
mail, I enter the first few letters of the recipients email address, press
‘ctrl-k’ and ‘send’ once the address is found.  If my recipients email is in
the Contacts subfolder ‘test’ that entry is not found unless the sub-folder
is listed on the Addressing tab under Tools, Services – ‘When sending mail,
check names using...'.  Is it possible to have all Contacts subfolders
included in the address list and not have to manually add them to the search
list?

They are included if you have enabled them as email address book in their
properties.

My subfolder has this setting enabled.

Then they will be searched during autoresolution. Bear in mind that for
performance reasons each folder is searched in succession. Once a match is
found, subsequent folders will not be searched.

My apologies if I haven’t clearly illustrated this scenario : Upon creation
of a new email, I choose to send it to a contact listed in my Contacts
folder.  I enter the first few letters of the username, press ctrl-k, the
address is resolved from contacts and I click ‘Send’.  A second email, to be
sent to an entry in a Contacts sub-folder, cannot be resolved unless I add
the Contacts sub-folder to the Addressing tab under Tools, Services.  The
contact entry is found after pressing ctrl-k, otherwise any address listed in
a sub-folder is not found.  I would like to know if Outlook will allow ALL
subfolders under Contacts to be searched as currently only the ‘root’ folder
is searched.  Outlook 2000 SP-3 (9.0.0.6627)

Still not sure what you're asking.
If you're asking whether a Contact subfolder will be searched without your
adding it to the Outlook Address Book Service, that would be no.
