Explain what you mean. It is not clear to what dialog you are referring, not
what buttons you think are missing.
The Insert Address Dialog has always inserted the Mailing Address. There are
no other options.

In my version of Word 2000, when the insert address dialog came up, it had:
1. "Type name or select from list:" A place to choose the name.
2. "Show Names from the:" A place to choose either contacts or a PAB, if
you had one and most importantly for me
3. Three radio buttons: Mailing, Home and Other. You could check this and
choose which one was inserted.

So what is your question?
You said you were asking about Word and Outlook 2003.
I answered.
Did you have another question? Are you asking whether there have been
changes in the currently supported versions? That answer is yes.
