I want to create a set of fields for my contacts' kids and their birthday info.

The Contacts Details Tab contains a spouse birthday field. Or you could enter
them in the comment field where any text can be entered; however if you must
have field defined birthdays for n number of childrens birthdays, you need to
create a custom form - which is a whole new ball game.

Norm, I believe the "birthday field" is for the contact only, not the
spouse.......the layout is confusing.   It would be really helpful if there
were multiple birthday fields within Contact Details to allow entry of
spouse, children, etc. birthdays.   As it is with no place to enter
spouse/children birthdays, I've been adding them as a recurring Calendar
Event.......I'm not sure how that will play out over time, compared to the
birthday data entered for the prime person in the Contact Details.
