We are attempting to export Access table information to an Outlook Contact
folder and then using these contacts create a distribution list that can be
used in mass mailing company information to recipients.

The export from Access to Outlook contacts we have completed.  The issue we
are having is that once the contacts are in the folder, we'd like it to
update a DL so that the user can create the email and then click on the DL to
insert all contacts into the email message without having to "select all".
We'd also like to be able to override the 125 max in a DL if possible.

As I've read so far DL may not be the way to go.  According to what I've
read using the Categories field in Outllook works better.  How do we make the
connection to the categories field in outlook from Access?

Why? You can use the Access table directly as the data source for a mail
merge. There's no need to go through this messy export step and deal with
DLs.
