Recipient name matches aren't in address book

When I start typing in a recipient name, Outlook pops up a
little window showing me a list of names that match.  The
problem is that some of those names are invalid addresses
and they're not in my address book.  I want to get rid of
them, but I don't know where they're being pulled from.

Assuming you're using Outlook 2002, remove individual addresses from the
autocompletion cache by highlighting the entry when presented in the
suggested names list (use your arrow key to migrate to the entry) and then
hitting your Delete key before you tab out of the field. To clear the entire
cache, follow the instructions here:
