In reviewing a few of the discussions I have learned that you need to write
VBS to change the message class for a new custom (contact) form.  I am
sucesful with assigning the new form to a specific folder for use with a
specific project but I also use excel to get my original contacts and related
info.  I can mannually place the data intot he custom form but i would like
to import but the custom fields do not show up using the

If I understand your suggestion to use VBS and correctly create a new
message class for the custom contacts form, will I see those fields when I
try to "map" the imported data?

In order to import data using custom forms (or user-defined fields) - you
need to either write your own code or use a 3rd party product (such as one
of the ContactGenie products - info URL in signature).

You may also find other alternatives at
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/contacts.htm (or on one of the other
slipstick pages).
