I am Using Office XP with Serivce pack 3 and Win XP Pro with service pack 2.

I have no problem with my contact list in Outlook  2002.  However, when I
try to click on the address book from MS Word 2002, it crashes and wants to
send an error report to Microsoft.  I have allowed it to do so a number of
times and checked the MS error site for a solution, but have come up empty.

I get the following error in MS Word 2002:
AppName: winword.exe    AppVer: 10.0.6612.0    ModName: schdmapi.dll
ModVer: 9.1.2318.0    Offset: 00016abb

It all used to work and now it doesnt.  I suspect a corrupted MAPI account
but don't know how to fix.

Please help!

Did you try renaming schmapi.dll and running Detect and Repair?
