Outlook '98 was better.  When you switched from Mail to Contacts, you could
just type a few letters of the name of the contact you wanted and presto!  
Now, you have to click with the mouse before you type or go to the toolbar to
search.  It's an extra step that's pretty annoying.

You can fix this by turning off Outlook Today.
