I recently reinstalled windows and all the programs and when I ran the
recovery disk for my computer it placed all of the old files in one large one
for back up purposes.

Now I'm trying to find my contact list so I can move it to the proper file
so I can delete the old ones. I've tried searching for *.pst files but the
windows search was unable to find any.

That's the only place they could be. Did you enable search and display of
hidden folders?

I did expand the search to include hidden and system files but it still came
up empty.

Another question that is related. Where are my archived files? I've got a
bunch of saved emails and things. I'm assuming they would be where the
contact list is. Is it possible that these things are under "My Documents"?
