Sorting Contacts by last names?

Using Outlook 2000.
When I open Contacts by clicking "to" on a new e-mail, I was able to sort by
first name or last name, but the last name sort uses the suffix, such as Jr.
or MD for the sort order.
When I sort in the regular Outlook contact list, it sorts properly by
ignoring the suffix.
Is there a way to sort the e-mail contact list properly by last name,
instead of suffix?

Post your Mail support mode.
Examine your Full Name field and see how it is parsed.
