Too many email addresses to select from when sending email.

Using Outlook 2003 for e-mail. When I compose my e-mail and select the "To"
box, all my Outlook contacts appear and all their e-mails. The
problem/inconvenience, is sorting through the same recipient with more than
one e-mail address or more. Is there any way I can select the recipient
without sorting through all his/her e-mail addresses? In other words,
selecting and only having appear the recipients primary e-mail address. I
don't need to see the recipients e-mail address 2 and 3 because they are
secondary addresses.

No. The Outlook Address Book is designed to show all electronic addresses.
That's what most users need.
Why don't you use autocompletion?

Thanks Russ, I wll use Autocomplete going forward...more out of habit that I
select the "To" button.

Just remember it will take a while to populate your autocompletion cache.
Once you do, I think you'll find it much faster than using the Outlook
Address Book. Plus it will only contain your most frequently used addresses.

I have been reading other posts where users are having problems with the
cache after deleting/changing/updating e-mail addresses and the addresses not
being updated because they are still embedded in cache, but I am not
completely understanding the process of emptying the cache. When you empty
the cache, are you emptying the entire cache or just the cache of that
particular contact? I think once I am presented with such a problem, it will
be better for me to understand how to empty the cache and then I will post an
inquiry.

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. If your autocomplete list contains only a single entry, use the
directions here:

You may also want to look into our utility for editing the autocomplete
cache. You can find it at www.dcs-imaging.com/products.htm. We also have a
suggestion for how to fill your autocomplete cache quickly and easily
instead of waiting to do it by adding one record at a time.

You can write me at my reply address, remove appropriate part and I'll send
you the workaround for autopopulating the NK2 cache file.
