Why do some of my entries appear last name first in my contact an.

I am using outlook 2003 for my contacts. Some of the names appear last name
first while others appear with first name first. All the entires appear the
same when selected. How can I get all the contacts to appear last name first?

You failed to post the view to which you are referring, which field you are
using for sorting in that view, and your default settings for that field.
Rather hard to guess all of that.
