cannot open Contacts in outlook 2002

I have Pocket PC and cannot synchronize with my contacts. This just happened
2 days ago. Now when I go directly to Outlook and try to open contacts it
says the operation failed but at the bottom left of the screen it shows I
have 551 items in contacts. I'm in a terrible fix. Any ideas on how to
restore the contacts? I've tried just about everything and wouldn't you know
it I have now lost the contacts info on my PDA so I am desperate. Any help
would be most appreciated.

Stop everything. It appears that I have 4 personal folders files that I need
to take care of. When I go to Outlook Today (personal folders) everything
works fine. What an idiot I am. I have spent the last 4 days working on
this problem. Thanks again for your help. I may need some assistance in
managing or deleting the other folders but that can wait.
