MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / January 2005How do I assign contacts from my contact list in a new list
edI don't know how to explain this so I am going to tell you what I did and what did not happen. In my email Inbox I click 'New' then 'To'. This brings up the 'Select Names' window. In the 'Show Names From' drop down menu there are 2 choices: Contacts and Outlook Address Book. I set up a new one called Vendors. I would like to be able to click on 'Vendor's' and have each of our vendors come up in the 'Name' list so I can pick the vendors I want the email to go to. I am trying to take names from my contact list and put them in the 'Vendors' list but no matter what I try I have been unsuccessful. Can anyone help? The Outlook Address Book is a container for address lists built from your contacts folders. You have a default folder named Contacts and have apparently added another contacts folder named Vendors, right? If you want names to appear in the Vendors list, copy or move them from the Contacts folder into the Vendors folder. You can drag or Ctrl+drag them or use the Edit | Copy to Folder or Move to Folder commands.
