I have assigned a "Category" to most of my 600 Contacts in Outlook 2002.  I
would like to delete all the assigned categories and start over again with
assigning categories.  How can I delete all the categories I have entered so
that contacts will revert to the default "Category" setting, which I think is
"none"?

I think you'd have to export the contacts to a spreadsheet where you could
delete all the data from the Categories column, then import the contacts
back in.  However, export and import is an imperfect process and can result
in data loss, so maybe someone else will chime in with a better answer for
you.
