I use the activities tab all of the time and I have not made any changes but
now I get "Outlook cannot display this view. The folder already exists."  I
have tried most of the solutions but nothing works. Does this mean I have to
reload outlook?

You've left out far too much information. Don't make us guess at everything.
At least tell us what you've tried already and what you did that started the
problem. Include your Outlook version and information store.

I didn’t make any changes to outlook. It was working fine and then I would
get the error if I had two contacts or more open on the activity tab. If I
closed all of the open contacts it would work fine. I used it for half of a
day like this and then it started to do it all of the time. The public
contact folder on the server works fine.
1) I tried the Detect and Repair first. This worked and I shut my computer
down for the weekend. When I started it up again it was doing it again.
2) I went to properties->activities and checked that all of the folders did
exist.
3) I went to properties->activities and reset all of the folders.
4) I tried a new contact folder with a new contact and got the same results
5) I tried running outlook with the /cleanviews switch

Outlook Version: 2000 SP-3 (9.0.0.6627) with Microsoft exchange

Never seen it. I don't run against Exchange and haven't seen an installation
of Outlook 2000 in several years.
I don't understand what you mean by "if I had two contacts or more open on
the activity tab."
