Of course it does. You did not do what I told you.
You cannot access Outlook from Word if you are not using it as your email
program.

In Office '97 I was able to use Outlook and Eudora. So, I was surprised to
find I could no longer do so in '03. I much prefer Eudora so will just have
to manually change it whenever I want to use the contact information in
Outlook.

That's hard to understand. I've never seen any version of Outlook that did
not require Outlook's mail transports in order for Word's Address Book to
access Outlook's Contacts.
