How do I get the contacts name to come up in the to: box with jus.

I have used Outlook before - and when I am selecting a contact to recive my
email - I have been able to just start typing their first name - not their
email address - and for some reason I can not figure out how to set this
outlook to do this.
Any suggestions

I suggest posting your Outlook version, what you are doing and what isn't
working in detail.
