Address Book using Contacts

I have my adddress book configured to use my contacts. The problem is that
the Address book contacts are not synchronized with the contacts that is
selected from the left hand menu pane. So when I add a contact via the
contacts menu, it does not appear when I look for a "To:" address on new
email.

So how do I keep the Address Book Contacts synchronized with the menu item
contacts?

Thanks

This lists are one in the same and so by definition remain "synchronized."
When they aren't, it suggests that you have more than one Contacts Folder
and the one to which you are adding Contacts is not the same one that you
are displaying in the Address Book. Examine your settings.
