contacts are still part of Outlook but not present when i want to send a
mail, Anyone got any ideas?

Have you enabled that folder as an email address book in its properties?

Have you added the Outlook Address Book to your profile?

Automate what process?  You posted your message as a reply but did not quote
the original so there is no context whatsoever for your post.  We don't know
what you're talking about.

Sorry, missed quoting.

basiclly, have a rollout, upgrading approx. 600 machines to Outlook 2003.
After some sums, it will add about 2.5 days work on the roolout, doing this
part manually for each user (say 2 minutes for each profile). I was hoping
someone might be able to lead me in the right direction for automating the
process of making the Outlook Address Book visable after a user has logged
in. I've read some posts mentioning sripting that could be done through
outlook, but not sue where to start.

Thanks in advance,

jtsm

No idea. It's worth starting a new thread so that someone familiar with
Enterprise deployments will see it.

Use the CIW tool in the Office Resource Kit to create and deploy a .prf file that includes the mail profile settings you want, including the Outlook Address Book.
