I have two contacts files.  I have a default contacts file and a shared
contacts file using Workgroupshare.  When I create a new email and want to
select an addressee, Outlook automatically selects the resident contacts file.

I prefer that the shared contacts file (named office contacts) appear as the
default contacts file when I commence a new email.  I cannot find the default
setting so that the shared file appears rather than the resident contacts
file.

You did not provide your Outlook version, so no one can answer you.
