What is the maximum number of entries I can put into Outlook contacts and is
the number different for the address book

I sure hope that you get an answer to this and that it is an accurate answer
since the information is very important to me.  I'm putting in enormous hours
inputting data into my Outlook 2003 contacts folder on the theory that there
is no limit.

The Outlook Address Book is just a view on the Contacts folder. Using large
tables you can have up to 65534 items in any one table (folder).
