How to prevent foreign entires appearing in Outlook Contacts?

I'm running Outlook from Office 2003 with all the update installed on an XP
Pro system with SP2. Just started adding to my Contacts database and am
finding spam-type entries appearing without any action on my part. How do I
prevent that from occuring? Tnx in advance - Jim (old hand at Mac computers,
newbie with XP)

What do you mean by "spam-type entries?"
Where exactly are they appearing and what do you do to make them appear?
