Hi,
Just got a new computer and tried to transfer my .pst's
from my old machine to the new one.  I thought everything
was going well - as I followed the advice in:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-
us/assistance/HA010771141033.aspx

However, when I go to make a new email my contacts aren't
recognised - although they're are all visible in the
Contacts folder.  Can someone help me link them up,

Thanks,
Richard.

Need a more accurate description.
What do you mean they are not recognized?

What I mean is when I either:
(i) type the first few letters of a contact I know I have
or,
(ii)try to press the 'To:' box

there is no connection to my contacts. Outlook obviously
isn't using my contacts folder for some reason.

Two different problems.
For the first, you have misunderstood how autocompletion works. It does not
use your
Contacts. It uses a cache of names that will be created as you send
messages. Be patient.
For the second, you have simply neglected to configure your Outlook Address

Thanks Russ.  That's fixed it - I'm good to go now.
